Rolando Perez

Rolando Perez has been working in the software engineering field since 2011. In 2013, they worked as a Frontend Developer for Acciona Solutions, S.A. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Full Stack Developer for RawShorts.com and Barrio305.com, teaching himself Ruby on Rails and Backbone. In 2015, they taught himself Liquid Template Language to implement the redesign of Bioliteenergy.com, a Shopify store. In 2016, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer for Revelry Labs, developing new features from technical requirements using a Ruby on Rails + React.js stack. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Consultant/Self-Employed, helping startups build features and minimum viable products. In 2018, they were the Manager of Software Development - Cloud Team for nimbus 9, Inc., leading and mentoring a fully remote development team of two developers in two different countries. In 2021, they worked as a Senior Frontend Engineer for Automattic, collaborating with a team of five developers in different time zones on WordPress.com's open-source React-based dashboard. Currently, they are a Senior Frontend Engineer for CMG (Capital Markets Gateway).

Rolando Perez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Systems Engineering from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá between 2009 and 2015.
