Daniel Shimberg

Daniel Shimberg has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Daniel currently works as an Information Technology Consultant at CMIT Solutions, Inc. since August 2020. Previously, they served as Director of Information Technology at Metrocorp, a major magazine publisher with offices in Philadelphia and Boston. During their tenure at Metrocorp, which started in December 1997, they were responsible for managing all aspects of IT, including print, online, mobile, and event platforms.

Before joining Metrocorp, Daniel worked as a Senior Project Manager at Omicron Consulting from September 1996 to December 1997. Daniel also held the position of Information System Manager at Metrocorp from August 1987 to August 1996.

In their earlier career, Daniel held roles such as Group Manager at Franklin Research Center from July 1983 to August 1987, Editor and Consultant at Beckman, Blydenburgh & Associates from July 1980 to September 1982, and Planner at Monroe County Department of Planning from July 1972 to August 1973.

Throughout their career, Daniel has gained experience in IT consulting, project management, information system management, publishing, renewable energy marketing, and environmental planning.

Daniel Shimberg obtained a BA in Environmental Design & Political Science from the University at Buffalo, where they studied from 1969 to 1972. Daniel pursued further education and completed a Masters degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania between 1974 and 1976. Later, from 1985 to 1987, Daniel attended Drexel University to study Information Sciences, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree in this field.
