David Damond

CFO at CMMB

David Damond has over 30 years of financial and accounting experience in mission-focused nonprofits. Most recently, Dave was the CFO at the March of Dimes, which focuses on maternal and infant health in the U.S. and globally. There he made an immediate impact improving the organization’s financial health, guiding them to four straight years of a break-even budgets, increasing cash reserves, and eliminating risky liabilities. Dave was also instrumental in bringing up a new Enterprise Resource Planning system, guiding the organization through this significant change.

Dave spent most of his career at the headquarters of the American Red Cross, rising to the CFO of the Biomedical business unit, which collected and distributed over 40% of the United States’ blood supply. 

Dave started his career in accounting and consulting at KPMG in Washington, DC focusing on government and non-profit clients. He has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BSBA from Georgetown University School of Business, with a focus on Finance and Accounting.
