Travis Ward has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Travis began their career as a Compliance Intern at the University of Richmond in 2013, followed by a Legal/Risk Management Intern position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Claims Negotiator at the Law Offices of Robert Gitmeid, where they negotiated debt settlements and collaborated with counsel on clients' bankruptcy proceedings.

From 2016 to 2019, Travis joined the National Football League (NFL) as a Labor Policies professional. In this role, they administered the anti-doping and social drugs disciplinary appeals process, represented the NFL in arbitration hearings, and drafted and maintained league policies and employment policy contracts.

Travis joined CMSPI in 2019, where they took on multiple roles. As a Contract Executive, they contributed to contract management. Travis then became a Contracts Manager, Europe & APAC, responsible for drafting website terms and conditions, supporting clients through commercial litigation, and managing commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements.

Currently, Travis serves as the Contracts & Commercial Counsel (Director Level) at CMSPI. Travis is the sole in-house counsel for the global payments consultancy, managing contractual disputes, drafting and negotiating complex contracts, and overseeing legal matters across multiple markets and office locations.

Lastly, Travis worked as an Independent Director for the English Ice Hockey Association from 2020 to 2021.

Travis Ward completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from West Virginia University from 2008 to 2011. Travis then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, where they studied Law from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being a Licensed Attorney in the State of New York, which they acquired from the New York State Bar Association in August 2017. Travis also holds the designation of Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, granted by the Solicitors Regulation Authority in November 2022. Furthermore, Travis has a Practising Certificate obtained from the Solicitors Regulation Authority in November 2022 and is also recognized as an Accredited Advisor by UK Anti-Doping since January 2018.
