Professor Chair Holder at National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (CNAM/ LISE CNRS)

Bertrand Réau is a Chair Professor at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts (CNAM-LISE-CNRS), currently conducting an international comparison of children's leisure time. They have over 20 years of academic experience, having earned a Ph.D. from the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS). Bertrand previously served as a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, and has also been a visiting researcher at prestigious institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley and Princeton University. Since 2023, they have held the position of Co-Chairman of the Observatory on vacations and leisure activities for children and young people at Ovlej. Bertrand's artistic practice intersects with sociological research, resulting in exhibitions and objects aimed at challenging and disseminating scientific knowledge.
