John Melloy is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in journalism and editorial management. Currently serving as Senior Editor at CNBC since November 2014, John oversees markets, investing, and finance coverage for CNBC.com. Prior roles include CEO of StockTwits and Executive Producer for CNBC's "Fast Money" and "Halftime Report," which John created. John's background includes positions as Senior Producer for "Fast Money," writer for the popular Behind the Money Blog on CNBC.com, and various roles at Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg News, where John specialized in U.S. stocks and market reporting. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Villanova University and a Master’s in Finance from Fordham Gabelli School of Business.
