John Rutledge

John Rutledge serves as Chief Investment Strategist at Safanad since January 2008, directing capital allocation for private equity, real estate, and marketable securities globally. Additionally, John holds positions as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Early Learning Academies and Chairman at Rutledge Capital, LLC, where responsibilities include fundraising and managing investment affairs. John is a long-standing Economics Contributor for both CNBC and Forbes Magazine, known for regular appearances and writing on economic topics. In academia, John is a Senior Research Professor at Claremont Graduate University, chairing dissertation committees and teaching advanced economics courses. Furthermore, John serves on the Board of Directors for Element Critical and has been recognized as an Honorary Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. John received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia and has held various faculty positions throughout an illustrious academic career.
