Lorie's career began at Dow Jones as a reporter, delivering daily news on venture capital deals from 2006 to 2010, and included a brief internship with The Associated Press in Buenos Aires in 2005, covering Argentine culture and politics. Lorie holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from Rutgers University.
