Mick George

Mick George has a diverse background in software engineering and machining. Mick began their career in 1979 as a Machinist, completing a four-year apprenticeship. Mick then worked as a CNC Programmer/Machinist and Senior CNC Programmer at various companies, gaining experience in MDI programming, setup, and operation of different CNC machines. In 1989, Mick became a Senior CNC Programmer at Integra LifeSciences, where they also operated manual milling machines, lathes, screw machines, and grinders. Mick continued their CNC programming career at ATC Screw Machine Inc and Parker Hannifin, where they focused on CAD/CAM programming and quality assurance. Mick then transitioned into software engineering, working as a Systems Engineer at Linc Systems, Inc. and a Senior Application Development Engineer at Alphacam. Mick ultimately became a Principal Software Engineer at CNC Software, collaborating with various teams to develop and deploy .NET applications. Throughout their career, Mick demonstrated proficiency in multiple programming languages, software development methodologies, and machine operation skills.

Mick George has a diverse education history in the field of computer software engineering. Mick attended various institutions in different locations, including CNC Software, Microtek, and Knowledge Source, where they gained knowledge and skills in computer software engineering. In addition, Mick George pursued studies in data modeling/warehousing and database administration at Linc Systems Corporation. Mick also furthered their expertise in contemporary applications development at the Computer Learning Center. Prior to their focus on software engineering, Mick George studied robotics technology/technician at Norwich City College in Norwich, England. Mick initially began their education in mechanical engineering at the same institution. Mick George has also obtained several certifications in different programming languages and software development, including C#, Flutter, Firebase, and Unity.
