Stephen Rust

Stephen Rust is a Principal Architect Lead at Akamai Cloud with 20 years of experience in software development, specializing in storage I/O technologies, distributed applications, and virtualization. They began their career at Sun Microsystems, where they developed Solaris kernel technologies, before contributing to significant projects at Acopia Networks, F5 Networks, and Blockbridge Networks. Stephen has also played a key role in the open-source community and currently serves as Co-Chair of the TAG Runtime and Tech Lead for the TAG Workloads Foundation at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University.
