Chris Quire has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Chris currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at CNIguard since January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer at CNIguard from July 2021 to December 2021.
Before joining CNIguard, Chris worked at Landis+Gyr, where they held multiple roles. Chris was the Vice President of Systems Deployment from August 2017 to July 2021, overseeing the development and deployment of smart metering communications systems. Chris also served as the Vice President of Global Systems Architecture from December 2015 to August 2017, focusing on the technical foundation of large-scale projects. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Director of Solutions Engineering from August 2014 to December 2015, leading the R&D efforts for a major smart grid initiative.
Prior to Landis+Gyr, Chris worked at Comverge, where they had various leadership roles. Chris was the Vice President of Utility Sales & Operations from June 2013 to March 2014, responsible for managing the sales and operations of the electric utility business practice. Chris also served as the Vice President of C&I Operations from June 2012 to June 2013, handling the re-establishment of the operations function within the commercial and industrial demand response business. Furthermore, they held the position of Vice President of Engineering from January 2007 to June 2012, overseeing hardware and firmware development, as well as managing external development partners.
Before Comverge, Chris worked at EMS Technologies as the Director of Engineering - Wireless Division from April 2006 to December 2006. Chris represented engineering in the senior leadership team and managed the product development organization. Prior to that, they were the Director of HW Engineering at Panasonic Mobile Communications Development Corp. of USA from April 2005 to March 2006, leading the hardware development of smartphone architectures.
Earlier in their career, Chris held various engineering roles at Matsushita Communication Industrial Corporation, Intellon Corporation, and Litton Electron Devices, where they were involved in RF design and development for different electronic systems.
Overall, Chris Quire has a wealth of experience in executive leadership, operations management, systems deployment, solutions engineering, and engineering management across the telecommunications, energy, and technology sectors.
Chris Quire attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Afterwards, they pursued further education at Georgia State University, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration from 1995 to 2000.
