Andy Raine

Andy Raine is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Editor at CNN since April 2022, Andy has contributed to award-winning coverage, including an Emmy for reporting on Israel’s conflict with Hamas. Previously, at the South China Morning Post from 2014 to 2022, Andy advanced from Chief Production Editor to Deputy News Editor, successfully launching a magazine and winning a Newspaper Society award. Andy’s career began at The National in the Middle East, where responsibilities included launching the newspaper and leading editorial teams. Early experiences included writing and editing roles at Bermuda Sun and various freelance positions, where Andy collaborated on works for notable publishers such as Penguin Random House. Andy's journalism career initiated at the Richmond and Twickenham Times, starting as a reporter and advancing to News Editor. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Southampton.
