Carrie Johnson

Carrie Johnson is an accomplished Indigenous journalist with diverse experience in media production, reporting, and mentorship. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in News and Documentary at New York University, Carrie has held various roles, including Indigenous Reporter for NPR and Indigenous Affairs Reporter for Underscore News, where notable work included producing stories and mentoring emerging journalists. Additional experience includes producing content for First Nations Experience Television, serving as a Public Relations Officer for The Chickasaw Nation, and instructing youth in softball. Carrie has received recognition for contributions to Indigenous journalism through fellowships and scholarships, including support from the Indigenous Journalists Association.
