Prior roles include Vice President and Managing Editor for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at CNN, and Managing Editor for Europe and Africa at CNNi, where Rayner led significant features and documentary initiatives. Notable earlier positions include Senior Foreign Editor and Commissioning Editor at Channel Four, where Rayner managed impactful foreign news output and developed substantial independent content. Rayner holds a BA in Literature from the University of Bristol and has furthered leadership skills through Executive Education at Hult Ashridge.
