Gene Norman

Gene Norman, CBM, is a seasoned meteorologist with over 20 years of experience in weather consulting and broadcasting. Currently serving as President of Wise Weather, LLC, since December 2012, Gene provides expert weather consultations and solutions. In addition, Gene works as a Severe Weather Notification Specialist at WeatherCall Services, offering timely alerts to businesses and communities. As a Weather Producer and On-Camera Meteorologist for CNN since November 2016, Gene delivers weather content across multiple platforms. Previous roles include Chief Meteorologist at WIAT TV and KHOU-TV, where Gene was noted for impactful severe weather coverage. Gene holds a B.S. in Earth & Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Maryland.
