Jeff Yang

Jeff Yang is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, cultural analysis, and media. Currently serving as Research Director and Head of the Digital Intelligence Lab at the Institute for the Future since September 2021, Yang leads research on digital platforms' societal and cultural impacts. As a Principal and Partner at Metafo.re, Yang focuses on data-driven cultural analysis and consumer insights. In addition to these roles, Yang has been a columnist for CNN Opinion and has held key positions at sparks & honey, The Futures Company, The Wall Street Journal, and SFGate.com, contributing to discussions on media, technology, and culture. With a background in consumer strategy at Iconoculture and leadership roles in various initiatives, Yang's expertise encompasses the influences of Asian culture on American society. Yang holds a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard University.
