Larry Madowo

Larry Madowo is an accomplished international journalist currently serving as an International Correspondent for CNN since May 2021. Prior to this role, Madowo was the North America Correspondent for BBC from June 2020 to May 2021 and held the position of Africa Business Editor at BBC from April 2018 to August 2019. Madowo's media career began at Nation Media Group, where responsibilities included Technology Editor and News Anchor for NTV from January 2013 to March 2018, as well as Business Reporter and Anchor from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Madowo worked as a Business Presenter at CNBC Africa in 2012-2013 and as a Business Reporter for Standard Group PLC between 2008 and 2010. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Business and Economics from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Daystar University.
