Michael Holmes

Michael Holmes is an experienced anchor and correspondent with an extensive career in journalism spanning over four decades. Currently serving as an anchor for CNN International's Newsroom from Friday to Monday, Michael has reported on significant conflicts in various countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. Prior to joining CNN in 1996, Michael worked as the European Correspondent for Nine Network Australia, covering pivotal historical events such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Gulf War. Michael's early career included roles as a reporter and producer at the West Australian Newspapers and as a freelance writer in London, highlighting a diverse background in news reporting and production. Michael graduated from Wesley College in Perth.
