Miriam Elder

Miriam Elder is a seasoned writer and editor currently serving as the Executive Editor of Features at CNN, a position they have held since 2025. Their career includes roles as a Russia Reporter from 2006 to 2011, Moscow Bureau Chief at The Guardian from 2011 to 2013, and various positions at BuzzFeed, where they were World Editor and later Politics Reporter. Miriam gained further expertise as Executive Editor of The Hive at Vanity Fair from 2020 to 2022 and is now participating as an Edward R. Murrow Press Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Women's Studies and Political Science from Barnard College and a Master's degree in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
