Shama Nasinde

Shama Nasinde is a seasoned journalist currently engaged with CNN since September 2017, holding roles as Journalist, Media Coordinator, and previously as a News Intern. Additionally, Shama contributes as a Journalist for Teen Vogue and serves as Music Editor, Junior Features Editor, and Writer for Schön! Magazine since July 2014. Shama is the Founder and Editor of Black Book Direct, a curated directory of sustainable Black-owned businesses, overseeing website design, visual direction, and social media marketing. Previously, Shama founded Beam Proofread, providing professional proofreading services and guidance to students. Experience also includes positions as a Camera Operator for Sky during general election coverage, Presenter for rhubarbTV, News Reporter, and Radio Presenter for Insanity Radio 103.2FM. Shama's early career involved serving as a Housing Assistant at the Students' Union of Royal Holloway, University of London, and a work placement at BBC. Shama holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London.
