Stephen Collinson

Stephen Collinson is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a Senior Reporter at CNN in Washington since October 2014. Prior to this, Collinson worked at AFP from March 2006 to October 2014, holding the roles of White House Correspondent and Political/Congress Reporter. Earlier experience at AFP included positions as Toronto Correspondent, Asia Policy Reporter, Bangkok Deputy Bureau Chief, and News Editor from March 1997 to March 2005. Collinson's career began at Swiss Satellite Radio (SRG SSR) as a Producer/Reporter from July 1995 to April 1997, and Stephen worked as a Reporter for the Dundee Courier/Evening Telegraph with DC Thomson from September 1995 to March 1997. Collinson earned an MA in English from the University of Aberdeen between 1989 and 1993, and also holds a Master of Arts in English language and literature from Simon Balle School, Hertford, where studies were completed from 1981 to 1989.
