Tim Naftali is currently a CNN Presidential Historian and a Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University. Previously, they directed the Presidential Recordings Program and the Kremlin Decision-making Project at the University of Virginia, and served as the Director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. Tim has held academic positions at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and New York University, where they taught history and public service. They completed their education at Yale University and hold a Ph.D. from Harvard University, alongside a Master of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University.
