Vasco Cotovio

Vasco Cotovio is an experienced journalist and producer with a robust background in broadcast journalism, currently serving as a Field Producer and Newsdesk Producer at CNN since August 2014. His role involves extensive coverage of notable events across the EMEA region and globally, having contributed to significant stories including the 2015 terror attacks in Paris, migrant crisis in Catania, and the Olympic coverage in Rio de Janeiro. Prior to CNN, Vasco worked at SIC Notícias in various roles as both a news producer and reporter, and gained early experience at Público. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Additionally, Vasco completed a short course in Virtual TV Power Reporting at the Poynter Institute in 2020.
