Alberto Bacci is a neurobiologist who currently leads a research team at the Institut du Cerveau – Paris Brain Institute, focusing on the diversity of neurons in the cerebral cortex. With a background that includes a PhD in Neuroscience and a Master's degree in Biology from Università degli Studi di Milano, as well as postdoctoral training at Stanford University, they have developed expertise in fast synaptic inhibition and cortical interneuron diversity. Bacci has also served as Group Leader at Fondazione EBRI Rita Levi-Montalcini and holds the position of Directeur de Recherche at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique.
