Clément Levard

Clément Levard is the Director of Research at CNRS, where they focus on the life cycle of mineral resources, particularly in the context of circular economy and sustainable extraction processes for critical metals. Their research aims to mitigate the environmental impacts of mining activities, especially in developing countries like Morocco, where they co-lead an international collaborative laboratory. Clément earned a Master’s in Environmental Geosciences and a Doctorate in Environmental Sciences from Aix-Marseille Université, along with an Habilitation to supervise research. Additionally, they actively engage in public communication through expertise missions and a non-profit association created with their brother, Hadrien Levard, called Cité de l'Environnement. Previously, Clément was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, investigating the environmental impacts of nanotechnology.
