Davide Faranda

Davide Faranda is a Directeur de recherche at CNRS, leading research at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement. They focus on the attribution of extreme weather events to climate change, utilizing advanced methodologies to study phenomena such as heatwaves and thunderstorms. With prior experience as a PhD student at the University of Reading and U. Hamburg, Davide has also served as a chercheur at CNRS and collaborates with global teams on significant climate events. Currently, they are a Lead Author for the IPCC and an External Fellow at the London Mathematical Laboratory, as well as President of the Nonlinear Processes Division at the European Geosciences Union. Davide is pursuing a PhD in Climat at Universität Hamburg.
