Denis Ullmo is currently a Directeur de Recherche at CNRS and serves as the Directeur de l'Institut Pascal at Université Paris-Saclay. Denis held the position of Research Associate at Bell Laboratories from 1994 to 1997 and was a Visiting Associate Professor at Duke University between 2002 and 2005. Denis earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Université Paris Sud, where their studies spanned from 1987 to 1990.
