Frédéric Chaput

Research Director

Frédéric Chaput is currently the Research Director at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, stationed at the Chemistry Laboratory of École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. After earning a Master's degree and a PhD in Material Science and Solid State Chemistry respectively, they spent two decades as a researcher at École Polytechnique, focusing on organic/inorganic hybrid materials. Frédéric also served as a Visiting Scientist for notable companies like Essilor and Varioptic, and co-founded Mathym SAS, a nanotech startup. Their contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including a prize from the French Academy of Sciences and multiple patents.
