Frédéric Petroff

CNRS senior scientist

Frédéric Petroff is currently the Deputy Scientific Director at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, a position they have held since 2021. They have extensive experience in various roles within CNRS, including scientific delegate for nanosciences and nanotechnologies and as a junior and senior scientist. Additionally, Frédéric served as an evaluation panel member for the French National Research Agency from 2009 to 2012, and held various leadership roles in other research institutions such as deputy director at Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS/Thales and Université Paris-Saclay. Frédéric's academic journey includes a degree from Université Paris Sud (Paris XI) obtained between 1989 and 1992.
