Joseph Boudrant is the Directeur de Recherche émérite at CNRS, a position held since 2012, and has been active at the Université de Lorraine since 1986. They served as Éditeur en chef for Elsevier from 2004 to 2024 and were the Délégué général adjoint at SFGP between 2010 and 2011. Joseph obtained their Ingénieur ENSIA in Bioprocessing from AgroParisTech and a Doctorat es Sciences in Biotechnology from Université Montpellier 2, before furthering their research at MIT as a research associate in Biotechnology from 1976 to 1978.
