Julia Rocha

Ph.d. Candidate

Julia Rocha is a Ph.D. candidate in Theoretical Physics at the Laboratoire de Physique et Modélisation des Milieux Condensés (LPMMC) with a focus on Anderson's Localization of Light in 3D complex systems. Previously served as a Quantitative Analyst and intern at SPX Capital, alongside research internships at the Institut Langevin - Ondes et images, contributing to wave propagation theories and theoretical models. Experience also includes a research and development internship at Saint-Gobain Research Paris, specializing in glass patterning under laser radiation, as well as an undergraduate research fellowship at UFRJ, where numerical simulations of light propagation in complex media were developed. Julia Rocha holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Université Grenoble Alpes, a Diplôme d'ingénieur from ESPCI Paris - PSL, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
