Michael Rera is a Senior Researcher at CNRS, where they have been since 2013, and are currently serving as a Principal Investigator at BFA, where they began in 2025. Michael has held various academic positions, including Postdoc at UCLA from 2010 to 2013 and a group leader at CRI from 2020 to 2023. They previously completed a PhD at Université Paris 7/CNRS, focusing on the evolutionary conservation of the mitochondrial electron transport chain in aging. Additionally, Michael co-founded PubliSciences from 2018 to 2020 to address challenges within the research publication model.
