Sandy Desrat

Chargé de recherche

Sandy Desrat is currently a Chargé de recherche at CNRS, specializing in total synthesis, therapeutic chemistry, and natural products chemistry. Sandy has held various research positions, including a postdoctoral researcher role at Université Paris Descartes, where they developed new modulators of glutamate vesicular transporters. Sandy earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Université de Rennes 1, focusing on the synthesis of anticancer compound uncialamycin. They also have a background as a Project Manager at NovAliX and completed a Master’s internship at Université de Haute Alsace. Sandy holds an engineering degree in organic and bioorganic chemistry from Ecole nationale supérieure de chimie de Mulhouse and an Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches from Université Paris-Saclay.
