Shubham Semwal is a 29-year-old postdoctoral researcher currently working on the structure of IgM antibodies and their interactions with cancer cells to discover new therapeutics and diagnostics. They completed a summer internship at the Forest Research Institute in 2018, where they characterized novel bacterial and fungal antagonists against wilt disease in plants. Shubham is pursuing a PhD in Structural Biology at both Ghent University and the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, building on their previous research experience during their dual degree in Biotechnology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, which concluded in 2020.
