William Rendu is an archaeologist and the Director of the Archaeozoological Center for the study of Central Asia at CNRS-KazNU. Currently, they serve as a Chargé de recherche at CNRS and as a Visiting Scholar at New York University. Previously, Rendu was an Assistant Lecturer at Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail, teaching various subjects within archaeology. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Archaeology from Université Bordeaux I from 1999 to 2007.
