Raquel Virto has over 16 years of experience as a researcher at CNTA, beginning as Head of the Bioprocesses Department for seven years before becoming the Technical-Scientific Manager of the R&D area in 2015. In this role, Raquel coordinates technical activities with a team of around 20 researchers and leads various research projects in collaboration with food companies. Raquel has a strong background in four key lines of research: probiotics, industrial microbiology, fermentations, and predictive microbiology, along with experience in European projects such as H2020. Raquel holds a Doctorate in Food Science and Technology and has two Licentiate degrees from the University of Zaragoza in Food and Technology Science and Veterinary Food Sciences.
