Amy Sweezey

Amy Sweezey is an accomplished weather professional with extensive experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist at News 13 Orlando since November 2021 and a Meteorologist & on-camera reporter for Orange County Government since June 2021. Currently, Amy serves as a Weather Contributor for Carnival Cruise Line. Additionally, experience includes roles as an on-camera host and reporter for CNTV and Growing Bolder, as well as a Meteorology Educator at Universal Orlando Resort since 2005. As an author, notable publications include "It Never, Ever Snows in Florida" and various weather activity books for children. Amy is also a keynote speaker, scheduled to present at TEDxEustis in 2024, covering topics related to weather, survival, and business in a warming climate. Academic credentials include a B.A. in Communication from Loyola University Chicago and a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
