Alan Shepard

Alan Shepard has over 18 years of experience in finance and accounting roles. Alan is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at CNX since 2022. Before that, they worked as the Chief Accounting Officer at Cnx Gas Co from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at EdgeMarc Energy Holdings, LLC, where they held various positions including Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director, and Controller and Treasurer from 2014 to 2020. Alan also worked as the Assistant Corporate Controller at Walter Energy Inc from 2012 to 2014 and as the General Manager Financial Accounting and Reporting at CONSOL Energy from 2006 to 2012. Shepard began their career at PwC as a Senior Associate ABAS from 2004 to 2006.

Alan Shepard earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Thiel College in the years 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance and Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business between 2007 and 2010.
