Amanda Tallcot is an experienced educator and creative professional with a focus on special education. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher in the Auburn Enlarged City School District since January 2019, Amanda has also held various roles at the Arc of Seneca Cayuga since 2005, including Program Coordinator and Theater and Creative Arts Instructor, where expressive art therapy techniques were utilized. Additionally, Amanda has worked as a Direct Support Professional at the E. John Gavras Center, empowering individuals with developmental disabilities. A freelance artist and consultant with a background in marketing and promotions at Big Orange Productions, Amanda holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Special Education and Teaching from Empire State University, along with a BA in Studio Art and Design.

Auburn is a small city located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State. The city of 32,000 is at the northern tip of Owasco Lake and is the legislative service and cultural center for Cayuga County. The district provides an excellent educational program for 4,850 full-time students as well as those who participate in night school and other programs.
