It's scary to go out into the world. 

It's energetically draining. 

All the fears, judgments, potential rejection, or embarrassment. 

It feels awkward when you meet people (like "what the hell do I say?! Say something! Anything! *crickets."

Because of the discomfort, you may not pursue hobbies or activities you love because it's easier to be a homebody. (I literally stopped talking to anyone except my husband, family, and work colleagues--and only when I had to)

It feels safer to stay at home...and it's so COMFY!
