Mark Sampson has a diverse work experience in the football industry. Mark began their career in 2006 as the Centre of Excellence Manager at Swansea City Football Club. In 2010, they moved to BRISTOL ACADEMY WOMEN'S FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED as the Head Coach, a position they held until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Sampson served as the England Women National Team Head Coach at The Football Association. Mark then joined Stevenage Football Club in 2019 as the First Team Coach, a role they held until 2021. Currently, since April 2022, Sampson serves as the Technical Director & Head of Partnerships at coachbetter.com.
Mark Sampson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Coaching at Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2000 to 2004. Mark also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the same university. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold certifications including the Advanced Youth Licence from The Football Association, the Level 4 Coach Educator from the Football Association of Wales, and the UEFA Pro Licence from UEFA.
