Daniel Colina has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were an Assistant Director of Admissions and Coordinator of Diversity Recruiting at Western New England University, where they recruited multicultural students through group visits, multicultural luncheons, and multicultural events. In 2014, they were a Graduate Admissions Counselor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology - Washington D.C., where they counseled full-time and part-time students in the graduate admissions process. In 2015, they were a College Preparatory Advisor at Friendship College Academy Public Charter School, a temporary position. In 2016, they held two positions: a Customer Relations Associate at Great Minds - A Non Profit and an Assistant Track and Field Coach at The Johns Hopkins University. In 2020, they were an Admissions Counselor and Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Maine at Farmington. Currently, they are an Associate Head Track and Field Coach (Throws)/Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and an Assistant Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach (Throws)/Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Bates College, and they also conduct private coaching lessons in the Javelin, Shot Put, Discus and Hammer Throw through CoachUp.com.

Daniel Colina began their educational journey in 2004 at Dean College. Daniel then attended Allen County Community College from 2005 to 2006, where they earned an Associate of Arts - AA in General Studies. Daniel then attended Keene State College from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. Daniel obtained a Level 1 Coaching Certification in July 2012, and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in August 2017.
