Eric Maye has a long history of professional experience, beginning in 2000 when they played professional basketball nationally and internationally for various teams over an 8 year career. Eric then went on to work as a Scout/Player Development Coach for PRO SKILLS SPORTS ACADEMY in 2005. From 2013-2015, they worked as a Recreation Specialist for the City of Carson Joseph B. Jr. & Mary Anne O'Neal Stroke Center, where they created a friendly environment, assisted with group chair exercises, and collaborated with co-workers in planning day trips and overnight excursions. Eric then worked as a Program Coordinator for the City of Mason, Ohio from 2015-2016. During this time, they also worked as a Senior Recreation Leader for the City of Frisco from 2016-2019, where they were responsible for opening and closing of the Senior Center, maintaining strong control of cash handling policies, updating and assessing both transportation and resource logistics for both Meals on Wheels and Senior rider needs, planning, coordinating and assisting with production of special events and recreational programs, recruiting, scheduling, supervising and assigning work to department employees, seasonal workers and volunteers, generating and processing P. O. 's for both inventory and events needs, and designing and conducting group fitness classes. From 2019-2022, they worked as a Park Manager for the Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner's Office and a Coach/Trainer for CoachUp. Currently, they are a Real Estate Investor.

Eric Maye began their educational journey in 1997 when they attended California State University-San Bernardino. Eric then continued their studies at the University of Phoenix, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Sports Management in 2010. Eric then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cultural Communications from the University of Phoenix in 2013. In addition to their degrees, Eric Maye has obtained several certifications, including Fitness Nutrition Specialist and NASM CPT from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), APLA's HIV 101 from APLA AIDS Project Los Angeles, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid from the American Red Cross.
