COAI Research is a European research organization focused on advancing human-compatible artificial intelligence. Our mission centers on three key areas: mechanistic interpretability, AI alignment with human values, and AI safety and reliability.
Through scientific research and interdisciplinary collaboration, we study how AI systems can be developed and deployed to benefit humanity. Our work includes:

Research in mechanistic interpretability to understand AI systems' inner workings
Development of methodologies for AI alignment and safety verification
Evaluation of AI systems through red teaming and formal verification

Based in Germany, we collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and policymakers to bridge the gap between technological progress and societal benefit. Our work is guided by scientific rigor, transparency, and ethical responsibility.
As an independent research organization, we are funded through research grants, industry partnerships, and philanthropic donations, maintaining strict ethical funding policies to ensure independence.
Connect with us in shaping a future where AI technology advances in harmony with human values and interests.
