Coal Kitchen is an independent restaurant in the heart of Gloucester Quays.

Tucked into the heart of Gloucester’s historic docks, Coal Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant - it’s a venue that tells a story.

It’s an excellent spot for an informal working lunch, dinner or after-work cocktails. It’s also a fabulous venue for private hire - a corporate networking event, summer party overlooking the water, or end-of-year Christmas party.

With exposed brick and south-facing waterside views, it’s a place where history doesn’t just sit in the background, it becomes the dramatic backdrop to your occasion.

Coal Kitchen brings locally sourced produce and seasonal flavours alongside an effortless charm.

Located in the stunning Pillar and Lucy Warehouse, this 19th-century red-brick building was once home to imported sugar and is now a sweet spot for modern celebration.
