Mark Burkhead

Mark Burkhead currently serves as the Waves Practice Director at Coastal, a position held since April 2024. Prior experience spans nearly eight years at IBM, where roles included Executive Architect - Associate Partner and Director of Solution Architecture, focusing on strategic client engagements and team leadership. At Bluewolf, an IBM Company, Mark held several positions, culminating as Solution Architect Manager, where design thinking and scalable architecture were prioritized. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Consultant and Consultant, where core competencies in project management and business processes were developed. Mark began the professional journey as an Environmental Engineer at Advanced Industrial Resources and gained foundational skills as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Georgia. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Georgia.
