Daniel Simon has held a variety of roles in the past 17 years, beginning with a Software Engineer role at EMC in 2003. In 2007, they became a Principal at Lab49, followed by a Chief Architect of Quantitative Systems role at UBP Asset Management in 2010. Daniel then held an Analyst Intern role at Hudson Bay Capital Management LP in 2013 and a Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes Summer Policy Intern role at the US Treasury in 2012. In 2014, they became a Cofounder, CTO/COO at Bread, where they and their cofounder/CEO jointly headed all departments until 2019. In 2020, Daniel Simon became the Founder and CEO of Coast.
Daniel Simon obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Yale Law School between 2011 and 2014. During that same period, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Yale School of Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from Boston University between 2005 and 2007. Daniel attended Reed College between 2001 and 2003.
