Dr. Cai Bird

Dr. Cai Bird has a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Liverpool and extensive experience in marine radar technology. They currently serve as the Director of Research at CoastSense, leading initiatives to optimize decision-making in vulnerable coastal areas. Previously, Dr. Bird held roles as Principal Researcher and Director of Research at Marlan Maritime Technologies, where they focused on developing radar-based coastal survey techniques and the commercialization of scientific research. They also contributed to a knowledge transfer partnership between the National Oceanography Centre and Marlan Maritime Technologies. Dr. Bird has actively participated in academic conferences and has received awards for their presentations.
