William Herring is the Vice President of Research and Development at Cobb-Vantress, where they currently lead innovative initiatives. Their career also includes a role as Senior Director of Global Technical Services at Pfizer from 2010 to 2012 and involvement in genetic development at Smithfield Foods from 2002 to 2010. Herring held a professorship in genetics at the University of Missouri from 1995 to 2001 and earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from The University of Georgia. They completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences at Auburn University.
