David Ashton

David Ashton has extensive experience in finance and business operations across diverse roles in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently, David serves as a Strategic Finance Advisor for the EMEA region at Cochlear, a position held since 2002, where additional responsibilities have included Head of Finance and Head of Business Operations for Europe. Prior to this, David held the position of Financial Director at Novartis UK from 2000 to 2002 and Finance Director at Hoechst Marion Roussel in both the UK and South Africa from 1992 to 2000. David began a professional career with an articled clerk position at PWC South Africa from 1981 to 1984. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Cape Town, completed between 1977 and 1980.
